Executive Team

Our delegation is made up of 44 Concordia Engineering students and 2 non-Concordia students (who we refer to as our Parrains), including our 12 Executive Team Members. Our delegation consists of students from the 8 engineering disciplines of Concordia, coming from all different backgrounds and experience levels.

Brianne O'Gallagher Roy

Cheers! I’m Brie, a fifth year software engineering student here at Concordia. I will be a Co-President for this year, and I could not be more excited. This will be my third year in enggames and second as an executive member. I have loved being involved in school clubs and activities, such as being an executive of Women in Engineering, being part of the frosh committee, and participating in competitions such as hackathons, CQI, Engweek, Englympics, and volunteering. Enggames has given me the best years of my life and I can’t wait to make this one the best yet!

Matthew Padvaiskas

Hi everyone! One more year! I am currently in my fifth year in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia and I am happy to say I am the Co-President for this year. Previously I’ve been the Internal and Finance for our society, as well as holding executive positions in the IISE (Industrial society) at Concordia. This will be my 5th year with Engineering Games and I can honestly say that it has been some of the best years of my life; from friends and networks, to the competitions and skills I’ve acquired (not to mention all the memories!) I can honestly say FAIT LES JEUX!

Yanis Hadji

What's up! My name is Yanis, I'm a third year Computer Science student and the VP Competitions for the 2021-2022 Concordia Engineering Games. I was added to the executive team last year in October as the VP Sponsorship and have been loving my experience as being part of the team ever since. I also have been quite involved with student life, having been a Frosh leader every year since my very first Frosh. I look forward to taking on the responsibility to form and train our cultural teams and make sure we succeed in the academics exams. I also can't wait to attend the games as a VP and get the real experience! Let's make the best out of this year!

Ariane Drouin

Hello people, I am Ariane, a 4th year aerospace engineering and the current VP Social for the Engineering Games at Concordia. Since my rookie year my involvement through the various extracurricular activities has diversified. I have started my university involvement in UAV and I did my first game in my second year. I fell in love with the this group and stuck around. Last year, I was VP Marketing & Communications for ECA and this year I decided to change my involvement by becoming GCS representative at the CSU council as well as sitting on Concordia Senate. I have also always been involved in all kinds of competitions in university like my fellow executives. I am so excited for my mandate, especially with quarantine finally ending, I am ready to organize some memorable events!

Courtney Hargray

Heyo! I’m Courtney (or Courte if you prefer). I just finished my civil/environmental engineering degree and I’m the VP Entrepreneurship for the 2021+1 Engineering Games! I’ve been involved at Concordia through the Concrete Canoe Competition, the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race, and I’m a former president of the Concordia Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE). I have participated in one Engineering Games so far as a delegate and member of the entrepreneurship team, and I am truly stoked to lead the next team in this Super Cool competition and the entire delegation as an exec! I’m looking forward to all of the events and hosting meetings and mini-comps in person!

Co-VPs Machine

John-Nicholas Cheng-Tarantino

Hey All! I’m JN, a recent electrical engineering grad and Co-VP Machine for Enggames. Eng Games and student life in general has always been a huge part of my degree, and I’m happy to be back for another round of being part of the exec. On top of general Enggames duties and socializing, I’m very excited to lead the machine team in competing at the robotics design competition part of Eng Games. Looking forward to a great year!

Eli Dannenbaum

Whatsup everyone! My name is Eli, I’m in my 5th year of mechanical engineering and I am Co-VP Machine for Enggames with JN. I have been involved with Eng Games, Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race and other competitions throughout my academic career. These competitions have played a huge role in my education, and have taught me skills I’ve since used to start my own company! I love creating and being outside, so I am hoping this year's Machine competition will involve building a rock climbing robot. I can’t wait to co-lead the machine team to victory in the robotics design competition part of EngGames.

Ben Marcotte

Hello everyone! My name is Ben, I am starting my third year of software engineering and I am the current VP Marketing for Eng Games. Competitions and student involvement to me are the two most important things a university student can do to get the most out of their degree, and I have done so much of both that I am looking forward to being able to give back to the Concordia student life and show new students how to enjoy their university life to the fullest. As VP Marketing, I aim to make swag that will have a lasting impression on those who wear it, not necessarily because of the swag itself but because of the memories tied to it. Let’s all do our best in the upcoming year!

Marissa Profetto

Howdy! My name is Marissa, I am a third year Electrical Engineering student, and the new VP Sponsorship for the 2021-2022 Concordia Engineering Games! This will be my first year an an executive member as well as my first year attending the competition as a delegate. I've been such an advocate for student involvement, and have been apart of Women In Engineering Concordia as well as the Engineering and Computer Science Association this past year. I've participated in CQI as a competitor, Troitsky as an organizer, and have even written a competition for Concordia's 2021 EngWeek. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve this coming year!

Luca Manolache

Hello, I'm a fourth year aerospace engineering student and I am the VP Finance of Enggames Concordia for the 2021-2022 year. My involvement during my degree so far has been diverse, from being a frosh leader to being an active member of Enggames and Space Concordia and finally participating in competitions such as CQI, Engweek and Troitsky. I look forward to bringing my experience to the Enggames team. As the VP Finance, I look forward to "saving dat money" as a wise man once said. Let's all focus on the positive and try to have a great year despite the numerous challenges that 2020 and 2021 brought us.

Jérôme Carbonneau-Côté

Hello, my name is Jérôme but everyone calls me Jerry. I graduated from the University of Sherbrooke in 2020 in mechanical engineering and I am currently doing my masters in Sherbrooke. I am proud to be Concordia’s parrain for the upcoming Enggames, for a second year in a row. In Sherbrooke, I had some experience with Enggames as president in 2020 and as a delegate in 2018 and 2019. Enggames has been a passion of mine since my first selection (LaCourse) in 2017 and I would be more than happy to share that passion with Concordia’s family.

Steven Côté

Howdy folks, my name is Steven. I am a 4th year civil engineering student at the University of Ottawa and I am more than happy to be Concordia's parrain once more! I have been in the EngGames community since 2018 when I first went to La Course events in Ottawa and I never regretted that decision: I have also been co-president of the UQOttawa (UQO and uOttawa) delegation in 2020. I also like to get involved in multiple schools clubs and projects alongside the EngGames such as the Concrete Canoe (CNCCC) and the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR). I'm really looking forward to bring some hype and fun during La Course and the Games.
